Eligibility
Candidates possessing a three years degree with English as an optional subject from the host university or anyother university which in equivalent
thereto complying with eligibility criterialaid down by the University for theAdmission to MA English are eligibleforadmission.The candidates withOptionalEnglish at the Degree level need to have 50% inOptional English. However, incaseofcandidates belonging to SC/ST and anyother groups classified by theGovernment of Karnataka for such apurpose from time to time, theUniversityRegulations governing PG Program shall
be applicable. In case ofnoncognate
studentstheeligible marks should be
65% (60% for SC/ST) in General
English/Additional English applicable toall categories and they would be
considered only when there are no
eligible applicants incognatecategory.
All the graduates from other than the host university shall have to obtain Eligibility Certificate from the university to seek admissions for MA in English.
The calendar of events in respect of the course shall be fixed by the University/Department from time to time.
