Department of History & Archaeology

Dept. of History & Archaeology is Established in the Academic Year 2010-11, in P.G. Centre Nandhihalli, Under Gulbrga University. the Department is offering Programmes of M.A. and Ph.D. for the eligible candidates. Our department is taking intake of 40 seats for M.A. and 12 Seats for Ph.D. There are 3 permanent faculty in the department, Two Associate Professors and One Assistant Professor.

VISION:

We seek to achieve excellence and leadership position in teaching-learning and research in the History & Archaeology and to become a major learning resource center for values and knowledge creation through the Historical & Archaeological Evidences.

Mission:

Reconstructing the human past through the research activities, and to provide good knowledge about History.

To reconstruct the human past through the research, inflate the good historical knowledge to the students.

To conserve & preserve the monuments of the University’s present region.

To find out the new historical sites through the exploration & excavation.

To create awareness among the stake holders regarding the local history
