Industrial Chemistry

The department of Industrial Chemistry was established in the PG centre, Bellary during the year 1995, as a branch of the Chemistry department of Gulbarga University and remained as a part of the Chemistry department ever after Vijayanagara Sri krishnadevaraya University came into existence.The department got its independent status in 2021. Hundreds of post-graduates have passed out from this department since its inception. Many are working in various pharmaceutical industries, Steel industries, thermal power plants, and have occupied senior positions. A good number of graduates are also working as teachers in colleges and schools. The curriculum involves one month of ‘In-plant Training’ when each student shall undergo this training. After the completion of the course majority of the students get good placement in various reputed industries.
In the beginning intake was during between 15 and 20 now more than 50 students are taking admission to their course
